Went to Big Jim’s gig, had a blast. It was great to see so many familiar faces, and meet a few new ones. Got to hear some new material from Obliviaxe’s upcoming album.

I’m wishing I had taken my camera … the bar where they were playing had several big screens behind and around the stage. On one tv over the band, ice skating was on (still can’t figure out *why* on that one). It was absolutely hysterical to watch a heavy metal band play just below Brian Boitano and the other skaters. Hell, at one point, it looked as if the skaters were mimicking Big Jim! (and he kept wondering why we were laughing ;))

They had a good crowd. I saw my old Macess buddy, Jeri, and her friend Tori there. Moporo and Eric showed up as well as Little John and Kevin. (yay!)

Can’t wait for the new CD to come out … though now it makes me want to work on mine. I’ve had a few cool brainstorms hit me this week, all I need is a band and a place to lay down tracks. :P

Oh well … maybe next Christmas. (hint hint! ;))
