I’m looking for a particular Christmas song I used to hear my mother play while growing up. I don’t remember who it was sung by, but the records my mother usually played at Christmas contained Perry Como, Liberace, Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, Brenda Lee, Nat King Cole, and many other artists that I love. The song I’m looking for is “Oh Holy Night” and it begins with the quote “blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.” (I’m pretty sure it’s the KJV quoted, but it’s been years since I’ve heard this song!)

I have never heard this version of this song on any other Christmas album that I have ever owned, and it’s my absolute favorite. The record was made in the 1950s and I have no idea what it was even called. I was able to find most of the songs from my mother’s collection on some Time Life CDs once, but those are no longer carried. I’ve spent the last few days going through YouTube trying to find the songs and artists that I remember most, but this one escapes me (and is therefore driving me crazy).

Anyways, does this sound remotely familiar to any of y’all?

My brother helped me out. This song (and a couple others that I wanted) are on this LP with this version of ‘O Holy Night’ (fast-forward to 3:44)
