Hay Babie! I don’t think they’re price gouging, the price is
changing so fast that a lot of stations haven’t had time to
change the signs. The panic over fuel supplies is making
all the suppliers freak out. I’ve asked a few station owners
how much they make per gallon and they’ve all said it was
under a nickel. Ask a few of them yourself. Democrats like
high prices on the necessities because people will clammor
for the government to do something and it will. It will come
in and take over which will make things much worse.
Yeah, this is nowhere near price gouging. I estimated price gouging for the day to be somewhere near $5.25 or $5.50 a gallon. Given the capacity of the refineries, at the moment $4.25 to $4.50 seems about right, depending on the company they receive their gas from.
In about 4 weeks I see the price of gasoline going below $3.00 again. I am guessing $2.90 a gallon by late October because the price of a barrel of oil has dipped below $100. First time in a long time for that.
