Jim and I went to see Jeremy, Christy, and Ryland last night. I forgot my camera (again), but luckily Jim had his digital arsenal (LOL!) with him and snapped off a few pics and some video. Hopefully I can snag those from him later this week, but in the meantime here’s a quick pic I snapped off with my Helio Ocean:
Daddy, baby, and Mommy
Aren’t they sweet? :) Christy’s mom was there when we got there last night and I told her that Jeremy needs to tell ‘Bama to hold her a spot on the women’s basketball team, ‘cuz she’s gonna be TALL like her daddy! LOL
A ‘Tider’ in Need
I was reading the sports news this morning and was surprised to hear of a former Tide player who’s been recently diagnosed with cancer. We hear all the time about players in trouble with the law, being sent to detox camps or drug rehabs, you rarely hear about one of the “good guys” needing our help:
Victor Ellis played four seasons at linebacker for the Crimson Tide from 1998-2001. He finished second on the team in tackles in 2000 with 94, including nine for a loss and 2.5 sacks.
He was an academic all-SEC performer and one of the more beloved members of Alabama’s program. That’s a trait that goes to back to high school. Victor graduated from The University of Alabama in 2002 with a B.A. in Communications.
Victor has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Renal Medulary Cell Carcinoma and now needs the help of the Crimson Tide family to help support him. With the support of your prayers and donations, Victor is going to fight and achieve Victor-E over this terrible disease!

For those interested: You can visit his website for more information, and send a message to him and his family. Keep him in your prayers, Tide fans … he’s one of the good guys!
The Face Off
Luckily the hype over last week’s heartbreaking loss to Georgia, I’ve been able to avoid most of the bitching and whining and moaning of remorseful Tide fans. We made some mistakes, we lost. Get over it and move on to the next engagement: FSU
For the first time in many years, the Florida State Seminoles and the Alabama Crimson Tide will be facing each other on the pigskin battlefield this weekend. Jim’s team vs. my team … this is gonna be a sweet matchup!
Last week’s loss was a lesson, let’s hope everyone learned from it. We have a strong team. We finally have a coach with some BALLS. Let’s go out there and kick some ass.
Tide, it’s time to roll on! ROLL TIDE!
Ike
Wow – with a little more planning you could have gotten married *at the game*. That would have been one hell of a day.
Nicki
Jim suggested that, actually … but I wouldn’t hear of moving the wedding to Florida. ;P
