Today is World Backup Day. Did you know this? I sure didn’t; I only happened upon this information while reading a post on a Domino/Notes blog that I follow. And as much as I’d like to say that I backup everything religiously, the truth is that I backup only some things, and it’s usually only projects that I’m actively working on. Guilty as charged.
We all should regularly make backups of anything we can’t afford to lose. If you’re new to this concept, the World Backup Day sums it up thusly:
What is backup?
A backup is a second copy of all your important files — for example, your family photos, home videos, documents and emails. Instead of storing it all in one place (like your computer), you keep another copy of everything somewhere safe.
I’ll be adding this one to the Geek Calendar at some point today. Hat tip to Chris Miller for sharing! :)
