Given that my last “100 things” list is 6 years old, I thought it was time for an updated one.

1. I have irrational fears, or am afraid of intangible things.
2. I hate seeing my name misspelled.
3. I don’t like to be late.
4. I don’t like feet.
5. I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl.
6. I love dark colors.
7. I hate pink with a seething passion.
8. I hate things that make me cry.
9. I love to laugh.
10. I love food, but I have weird issues with certain foods.
11. I can talk about food or cooking at almost any time; it is my favorite subject.
12. I love to cook for others, but not for myself.
13. I don’t like talking about politics.
14. I’m too forgiving when it comes to family.
15. I don’t trust people, and it takes a lot to earn my trust.
16. Deceiving me is the quickest way to lose my trust.
17. I say “y’all” a lot.
18. I’m self-conscious about my accent.
19. When I drink, my accent really comes out.
20. I drink a lot when happy.
21. I love to karaoke when drinking.
22. I hear music in my head — always.
23. I have a temper, and it has nothing to do with my hair color.
24. I am best bribed by food and/or drink — preferably a free lunch/dinner, chocolates, or my favorite brew.
25. I believe everything happens for a reason.
26. I’m a hopeless romantic.
27. I hate reality tv.
28. I hate daytime tv.
29. I try not to watch the news.
30. I mostly watch educational and sci-fi shows.
31. I like manners and chivalry.
32. I like men who are manly.
33. I have a weakness for men in uniform.
34. I also have a weakness for musicians and geeks.
35. Personality is what makes someone the most attractive in my eyes.
36. It is easier to convince me with action than it is with words.
37. I believe there is a God based my personal experiences.
38. I call myself a Christian because I try to follow the teachings of Christ.
39. I know not everyone believes like I do, and I’m OK with that.
40. I believe in the afterlife, also based on personal experiences.
41. I’m still not sure about aliens, but love to listen to theories.
42. I support stem cell research.
43. I support gay marriage.
44. I love all creatures on God’s green earth, except cockroaches.
45. I love mythology, especially Greek and Egyptian.
46. I am allergic to many things, including my cat.
47. I suffer from migraines and have what is called “aura” accompanying them.
48. I have been on several migraine medications over the years. Nothing is 100% effective.
49. When I have a migraine, I’m hypersensitive to sound, light, and temperature.
50. If my medication doesn’t work, I have to try to sleep off the migraine.
51. If that doesn’t work, I have to see a doctor right away.
52. I’m on birth control to keep from bleeding myself into shock each month.
53. My favorite flower is a rose, but I am also fond of orchids.
54. I think some orchids smell like Fruit Loops and love them.
55. I also love lavender, especially in teas.
56. Black and jasmine teas are still my favorites.
57. I drink hot tea with sugar or honey only.
58. I drink iced tea sweetened.
59. Actually, sweet iced tea is my crack.
60. I go through periods where I give up soda.
61. But when I do crave it, I want a Mtn Dew or Dr Pepper.
62. My favorite Koolaid flavors are grape and black cherry.
63. When I’m sick, I want creamed potatoes or chicken-flavored ramen.
64. I have a deviated septum.
65. I’ve put off getting it corrected because I think it will make my allergies/breathing issues worse.
66. Despite growing up around doctors, hospitals, and laboratories, I have a fear of them.
67. I don’t think I have the emotional fortitude to work in healthcare.
68. I think that’s also why I won’t work with animals.
69. I’m a bleeding heart.
70. ASPCA commercials make me cry.
71. ASPCA commericals are also why I don’t like Sarah McLachlan anymore.
72. I’m a cat and dog person.
73. My favorite dog breed is German Shepherd.
74. I would also love to have a Rottweiler.
75. I want to learn to ride a motorcycle some day.
76. I want to travel, but don’t know where I want to go except maybe Ireland or Japan.
77. I love my country very much.
78. Sometimes I tear up when I hear people proudly singing our national anthem.
79. I would love to learn Latin, but haven’t made the time or effort.
80. I’m slowly re-learning Spanish, and wish I’d kept it up in high school when I had the chance.
81. I’m getting to the age where I realized my mother was right, and I now have a daughter who thinks I’m wrong.
82. I hope to be around when she realizes maybe I was right.
83. I’m not going to be a blue-haired old lady. My hair will be purple.
84. I’d like to get married again some day.
85. I’d like to say I’ll forgive those who’ve hurt me.
86. I’m still working on that; it’s a work in progress.
87. I love to read, but hate finishing a series of books.
88. I love to watch various animes.
89. I prefer subbed over dubbed.
90. I love kung-fu movies.
91. I love monster movies, particularly werewolves or vampires.
92. I am a Star Trek AND Star Wars fan.
93. When I was young, I wanted to marry Spock.
94. I am a huge Batman fan.
95. When I was young, I also wanted to be Catwoman.
96. I still read comic books, though now mostly in digital format.
97. I love to sing, but hate to perform.
98. I get stage fright in front of a crowd.
99. I was in a band in college, and would sing facing the band.
100. I passed up the chance at art school to study computer programming … I still think I made the right choice.
