I hadn’t forgotten about today. I wasn’t going to post at all because I didn’t have anything to say that I hadn’t said in years previous. It’s a silly reason, really. I felt that many people had started forgetting about the anniversary. There are fewer and fewer posts on blogs I follow each year. I thought, “Maybe I should just shut up and silently observe it myself this year. Maybe nobody wants to hear (see) me yammer on about 9-11 again.”
But on my drive home this afternoon, I passed by the Fultondale fire station. They had a big beautiful American flag flowing gracefully from the extended ladder of one of their trucks. It was a glorious sight that warmed my heart.
Seeing that reminded me that I am not alone. Not everyone has forgotten.
To everyone that still remembers, and will continue to do so, thank you. To the Fultondale FD, thank you. I needed that. ♥

That was the longest and most stessfull day of my life. Now I’m stressed because I don’t know how to post comments as Don instead of as redseib. :-)

Hey Don, if you’re logged into Disqus, you should see what looks like a gear with a down arrow on the right under the “Leave a message…” box above. If you click that and go to Edit Settings, you’ll be taken to http://disqus.com/dashboard/#account
From there, click on the Profile tab. If I’m not mistaken, the Full Name field is what will be visible if filled out.

Nicki, I don’t understand what you recommended I do, but I tried doing it.
