A random act of kindness

When I pulled up to the drive-through window at Burger King this morning, the manager told me that my meal was already “taken care of”. Apparently the customer in line ahead of me had paid for my meal. The manager told me that the lady said, “This is from an Auburn fan.”

Awe! That’s awesome. Someone did that for my family when we were at Denny’s one time. They overheard us talking about my husbands accident apparently and ended up paying for all six of us. They had left before we even got to thank them! Just makes you want to do something for someone, doesn’t it? :)

We were visiting in New York last year and had this happen at a toll booth. When I pulled in front of the booth to pay I was told the lady in front of me had paid our toll and had expressed the hope that we enjoyed our visit in her state.

New York is a beautiful state to visit and the people are very friendly. But we were totally surprised that a stranger would pay the toll for a visitor to her state.
