I read lots of “cute” blogs every day, from Cute Overload to I Can Has Cheezburger. I get “cute” videos via RSS from YouTube and other various sources. Jim laughs and shakes his head whenever something strikes me as REALLY funny and I’m rolling in my chair.
Of course, I share all the REALLY cute content with him. (read: I subject him to the painful cuteness! LOL)
Somehow last night we got on the subject of pets. I told him that I missed having a pet. I’ve been nagging him for a while (as has Jessie) to perhaps get another dog (or two, or three, or ten, … ) once we get a bigger place. He starts with the “they’re expensive, you’ll have to buy more food, yada yada yada, blah blah blah” spiel. I remember what it was like to have those responsibilities. I think sometimes he forgets that I grew up where it was normal to have dogs, cats, birds, fish, frogs, etc. as pets. (ALL AT ONCE!) It was no big deal to pick up goat feed and dog supplies and get gas all in the same shop.
So anyways … Jess and I will keep nagging away until he gives in.

I have pet roaches. I also have a little cyber pet but it’s not as
smart as the roaches.

Mara, yeah that’s pretty much what I’m thinking. We’ve had fish, but I made the mistake of getting a Gourami too, and he killed them all. I may switch back to one of my faves: frogs. :)
Uncle Monster … ew! I worry about you sometimes! ;)
