Someone once told me that you don’t know what you’re missing until you see it in someone else’s house. That much is true, LOL. The strangest thing occurred to me yesterday. I never knew these things existed until I saw it in one of the house ads on the Remax site. The house had custom range hoods. I had no idea such a thing existed, but apparently the owner was so proud of their kitchen that they took great detail in covering everything that had been done to it, including these. (I had to look up what those damned things were! LOL)

Not bad, huh?

At first I thought it looked like something that should go around a fireplace, but it did look nice and to be honest puts mine to shame. I never gave it much thought. The hood that is over my stove top looks almost exactly like my mother’s, my grandmother’s, Jim’s mother’s, … practically everyone I know … I never have seen anything different and never gave it much thought until I saw that ad for that house.

Now I know. :)
