We’ve been on the go for the last few weeks’ straight. I swear, I think the only times I have to blog are when I’m asleep or in meetings at work … hrmmmmmm …
*wonders if a mobile WP write post form exists*
Speaking of mobiles, I updated the Helio Ocean wallpapers page with a few (and posted an assload more on the Heliocity forums).
Got lots of updates, hope to post in detail soon. In the meantime here’s another goodie from Cookie to keep y’all entertained. ;)
Combat for Dummies
Advice and instructions taken from actual military sources. Some of these guys must have had a sense of humor
“Aim towards the enemy.”–Instruction printed on U.S. Rocket Launcher
“When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend.”–U.S. Marine Corps
“Cluster bombing from B-52s is very, very accurate. The bombs are guaranteed to always hit the ground.”–USAF Ammo Troop
“If the enemy is in range, so are you.”–Infantry Journal
“A slipping gear could let your m203 grenade launcher fire when you least expect it. That would make you quite unpopular in what’s left of your unit.”–Army’s magazine of prevention maintenance
“It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed.”–U.S. Air Force manual
“Try to look unimportant; the enemy may be low on ammo.”–Infantry Journal
“Tracers work both ways.”–U.S. Army Ordnance
“Five-second fuses only last three seconds.”–Infantry Journal
“Bravery is being the only one who knows you’re afraid.”–David Hackworth
“If your attack is going too well, you’re walking into an ambush.”–Infantry Journal
“No combat-ready unit has ever passed inspection.”–Joe Gay
“Any ship can be a minesweeper….once.”–Anon
“Never tell the platoon sergeant you have nothing to do.”–Unknown Marine Recruit
“Don’t draw fire; it irritates the people around you.”–Infantry Journal
“If you see a bomb technician running, try to keep up with him.”–USAF Ammo Troop

You can log in to your WP Admin panel from Opera Mini. I do it on my Blackberry. You are in raw code mode, though, so you can add simple html tags and spans and the like.

About to try it here … Considering I have an average of 2.4 boring meetings scheduled per day for next week, that’ll be a good time to really test it!

I often blog via my MotoQ. See this for an example. Of course, it might require cleanup later for typos that don’t jump out at you from such a small screen. Also, it’s simply not feasible to add photos (such as in my example) until you’re back in front of a screen… but where it’d be awkward to fire up a laptop, WP via a mobile device works quite well.

Very nice, Curtis. :) I added my WP new post form to my Ocean’s bookmarks so I can find the post form quickly. At least now I’ll have something to do in all those boring meetings I sit in! LOL
