I’m cleaning out old hardware boxes, and run across one that reads “IBM memory Expansion Technology (MXT)…” — I stopped reading at that point. Didn’t that stuff die off some time around 5-10 years ago? LOL!
I asked Jim, “Why do we keep this crap?”
“What crap?”
*Holding up the box in question* “This crap.”
“Don’t throw that away, I might need it one day.”
 WHAT in the world would we ever use it for?
I seriously doubt we’d ever be so hard up for parts that we’d resort to scrounging for my old 286 stuff.
I said, “Yeah, while we’re at it, why don’t we get your old Commodore stuff out of storage and set it up on the network.”
To which he replies, “Hey, that’s not a bad idea!”
*shakes head* Geek.

I have got several 4mb ram modules in my spare parts box. I just know i’m going to need to upgrade my toaster one day so i refuse to throw them out.

LOL! I hadn’t thought about that … maybe if I upgrade mine, it will make french toast? ;)
Uncle Monster
My dear little redhead, I have customers who are still running
DOS. The new hardware won’t run DOS the way it was meant
to be run. People laugh at me for picking old PC’s out of the
trash and carrying them to the warehouse. If you ever have
any old PC hardware that you must orphan, you know my number.
