Aaaaah! Two geek holidays are poking me on the calendar today.
Towel Day
A day dedicated to the late Douglas Adams. The commemoration was first held on Friday in May 2001, two weeks after his death on May 11, and since then has been extended to an annual event. As a tribute, on this day fans carry a towel with them throughout the day. The towel is of course a reference to Adams’ popular science fiction novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

This day is in celebration of the beginning of the Star Wars Saga.

It is hard to believe that Star Wars is 30 years old today!
Towel day! I better go raid the closet. You should never go anywhere without your towel.
