Just when I thought we had FINALLY agreed on a wedding date and setting and that I could FINALLY start planning again, last night Jim proceeds to tell me that he didn’t want to get married in October. Now he wants the wedding to be in September.
You have GOT to be kidding me …
I glared at him and said, “Please tell me you’re kidding.” Apparently he’s under the impression that we will “eventually agree on a date” and just plan from there — even if the date he finally agrees on is just a couple of months away!
ARGH!!!
How is it some men think that you can just pick ANY date and instantly be able to plan a halfway decent wedding. He has NO idea what I went through the first time to reserve the wedding ceremony location, pick a reception location, placed a preliminary order for the cake, started planning wedding favors, booked the preacher for the ceremony (which has had to be told TWICE already that the date has moved!), and I haven’t EVEN started on catering, flowers, filming/photography, or any of the other “extra” stuff that we will have if we have any money left over!
Remind me … WHY exactly am I stressing out over this shit?
(and why isn’t he stressing out WITH ME? LOL)
Well, if anything, at least I am getting really pretty catalogs and invites from all kinds of interesting places. In today’s mail, I received another advertisement from Beaufort NC real estate.

:shock: I hope it gets easier for you. I know it is frustrating.

It is because men don’t have to plan the big event; they just show up and have no idea what went on to make it so special! LOL Good luck and are you guys registered anywhere?
Please consider submitting something for the carnival.

Hang in there girl it will come together because if anyone can do it, it’s you!!! If I can help you in anyway just let me know I will be there, Bridal looking, taste testing or anything just call me. K :smile:

you’d have to move to Holland though (and i too am a horrible planner, i’m more of a “spurr of the moment” kinda guy)

@CA: LOL, true!
re: carnival … I’m working on it, I just don’t think I’m that good a writer, LOL!
@T: Thank you, sweetie. I really appreciate that.
@DD: LOL! Yeah, Jim is too … a bit annoying sometimes, but oh well… ;)
