I’ve been piddling with a few small things on this site here or there over the last few days. Something I’m sure most everyone has noticed were the changes to the comments form. I added a set of clickable smilies, courtesy of the recently updated WP Grins by Alex King. I’ve also added a set of quicktags, courtesy of LMB^Box Comment Quicktags by Thomas Montague.

(A quick note to anyone using or might use LMB Quicktags: To get your code to validate, escape your forward slashes with backslashes in the Options menu!)

I’ve also added Matthias Pfefferle’s Simple coComments per request. I know a few of you use coComment and would much rather use that than having to keep clicking the subscribe to comments box. :)

I’m in the process of “personalizing” a few of the categories tags. Only one is currently online (Roll Tide), but I’ll be adding/creating more with time.

For the last week I’ve been doing archive cleanups and hope to have all of that done soon. (i.e. fixing old redirects, removing outdated code from old pages/entries, deleting outdated pages, etc.) I’ll be starting on some serious database cleanup today, so if everything goes wonky, you’ll know why! ;)
