For a while I had been wanting to find new friends to go out with — not that there’s anything wrong with the friends I have now, but the ones that still live around B’ham are either friends of both me and Jim, or they’re not the “Let’s go out and do something fun!” type. I still love ’em, but I wanted to get out of the house more.

Anyways, I had been watching several groups on Meetup and saw one in particular called Birmingham Ladies Night Out. I had signed up a couple of weeks ago, and attended my first meeting last night at Bahama Breeze. It was a blast! I met several very nice ladies who live around the metro area, and definitely want to attend more of their functions.

YAY! I had a fun night out with no kids or men! LOL

I feel like such a d0rk for saying that, but it was exactly what I’ve been needing. :mrgreen:
