I remember as a child, time seemed to crawl, like a molasses sludge going uphill in January. Now that I’m older, time flies by like Jr. at Talladega. I mean, cripes! I turn around and it’s April already!

Friday was interesting … we had a mandatory meeting at work. (Which always translates to “we’re going to bitch and you’re going to sit and listen”) The majority of it was the same old “Keep your area clean,” “Be on time,” etc. What caught me offguard was that the meeting opened with my department being attacked by our video/multimedia department — or rather, a couple of their guys were bitching about me bitching at them.

The quick and dirty of it was that I have complained for some time about having to go behind someone in that department and re-check their work, and usually correcting 70-80% of it. That’s not my job, and I told them a week or so ago that I wouldn’t do it anymore and they needed to do their own damn work. The CEO listened to both sides and, I’m pleased to say, sided with my department — they needed to do their “thing” right the first time and not expect someone else to come behind them.

I know I pissed off a couple people in that department, but enough’s enough. I’m not their mamma, and I’m through doing other people’s jobs. What’s worse, they complain about having too much work to do — but the one complaining neglects to mention that he spends half the day playing SIM games on his workstation. I’ve said something to him several times, and went to his manager about him. As I see it, if he has time to sit on his duff and play games every afternoon from lunch til 5, he has time to get his work done and do it correctly!

*sigh* I need another job. :neutral:

Yesterday was uneventful compared to Friday, LOL. I introduced Jessie to The Three Stooges a while back, so we spent part of the day watching them. hehe, it’s so cute … Jessie now says “Wiseguy, hay! Why I oughtta … nyah nyah nyah!” LOL She cracks me up when she does that. I let her watch Clash of the Titans lastnight and Jason and the Argonauts. I figured I need to show her what *real* sci-fi movies look like! :lol:

Anyways, Jim and I are headed to his mom’s today. We might go see Sin City tonight. I’ve been dying to see that ever since I first saw the trailer for it and have been hearing a lot of good things about it.

C’mon … it has Bruce Freakin’ Willis in it! How bad could it be?! He’s the ultimate action hero. :D

It’s almost 3 already and I need a shower. Later!
